Having blown Lieutenant Gerald out the airlock, Captain Shucky Darns turns his attention back to the placement of the official Space-Z velvet Elvis. After a few moments of silent contemplation, Captain Darns thinks Lt. Gerald may actually have had a good point.

Recently got a swell gift from my friend Amy. I'm a big fan of mid-century illustration (or MC anything) so I was, as the Californians say, "stoked" to get such a fabulous manual. It is quite a contrast to the stock photo laden and text blocks of the current California drivers manual. Governor Schwarzenegger, we don't have to be nostalgic for a bygone era of beautifully illustrated driver manuals, just hire a good illustrator for next year.
